Video: Jamaica secure100-metre relay gold in Moscow

Jamaicans Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce completed clean sweeps of the sprint golds at the World Championships in Moscow, rounding off their hauls on Sunday with victories in the 100-metres relays.

It was the final day of the Athletics World Championships on Sunday and Usain Bolt secured his second sprint triple at the world championships.

He sprinted home for the Jamaican team in the men’s 4×100-metres relay

Bolt’s compatriot Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce became the first woman in world championships history to sweep the sprint events when she anchored Jamaica to gold in the 4×100-metres relay final.

Asbel Kiprop of Kenya defended his title in the men’s 1,500 metres, beating American Matthew Centrowitz by half a second.

Johan Cronje of South Africa took the bronze medal.

Eunice Sum of Kenya held off Olympic champion Mariya Savinova to win the women’s 800 metres.

Sum won in one minute, 57.38 seconds. Savinova, who was also the defending champion, was second in 1:57.80.

Christina Obergfoell of Germany won her first major javelin title at the age of 31, beating Kimberley Mickle of Australia.

Obergfoell threw 69.05 metres on her second attempt, while Mickle’s best was 66.60.
