A popular AEW star and wrestling veteran was officially removed from the company's roster page. The star was fired from the promotion on live TV this past week as well.

The popular star in question is none other than Christopher Daniels. Daniels has been in the wrestling business for decades, as he also worked in WWE during the Attitude Era. The 54-year-old veteran is best known for his time in TNA. Moreover, Daniels joined AEW during the company's inception and served as the Head of Talent Relations.

Christopher Daniels also occasionally wrestled on Tony Khan's promotion. This past Wednesday on Dynamite, CD teamed with Matt Sydal to take on the company EVPs and World Tag Team Champions, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. After the EVPs defeated Sydal and Daniels, they announced that Daniels had been fired for his recent behavior.

After getting fired on live TV, Daniels shared multiple emotional messages expressing his disgust. Meanwhile, fans might think that CD has actually been fired from the promotion, as he is nowhere to be seen on AEW's official roster page as of now. More updates regarding the same will be provided soon.

What the AEW star said after getting fired

The AEW star, Christopher Daniels, cut an emotional exclusive backstage promo after getting fired. Daniels broke into tears while expressing his disappointment in getting fired by Matthew and Nicholas Jackson:

"When it was near the end of my career, along comes AEW. And yeah, I was super fortunate that Matt and Nick Jackson asked me to come along for the ride, to be here from the very first day. And finally, I can look at my wife, I can look at my daughter and son and tell them that 'Everything's gonna be okay.' And I know these jobs can be taken from you like that, but I never thought it would be Matt and Nick that took the job away from me."

Meanwhile, it seems removing Daniels from the roster page after he was fired onscreen is part of some storyline. Only time will tell what's next for the 54-year-old veteran.
