Highly respected AEW star reacts to WWE getting Nick Aldis — "I want to say publicly, I’m very, very happy"

An AEW star recently reacted to former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis' debut in WWE as an authority figure on the company's SmackDown brand.

The star in question is none other than Jeff Jarrett, who spoke positively about WWE getting Nick Aldis. The former NWA Worlds Champion was announced as the general manager of SmackDown at the Session Premier on October 13, 2023.

Speaking on his My World with Jeff Jarrett podcast, the AEW star praised Nick Aldis' appearance and stated that he looks forward to what Aldis does in the future:

"As far as, I’ll call it Nick’s in-ring career, he had pulled the weight of the NWA for quite a while at this time. And you know, had his ups and downs in IMPACT and Global Force, the short-lived, never got that sucker off the ground. But I was a huge believer in him there. Timing is everything, is where I’m going with all this. The old 'Randy Savage mentality' that he (Aldis) told me a number of times in different lessons... And it was just like, his mentality was 'Stay in the game.' You don’t always have to be on the field. But be around, be engaged, stay in the game, and you kind of look at the situation. And that’s not that long ago [with Aldis]."

Jarrett continued:

"In 2018, I’m more thinking about producing, and Nick is the NWA champion. And then he, again, just stayed around the game. So I want to say publicly, I’m very, very happy for Nick. He looked great in that suit like he always does. I think there’s a lot of upsides for both parties... I’m excited to see where his career goes from here, but very cool." H/T:[PWMania]

Wrestling veteran praises Jeff Jarrett for his performance in AEW

WWE veteran Vince Russo recently commented on Jeff Jarrett's incredible performance in his match on AEW Dynamite against Rey Fenix last month.

On an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of Dynamite, Vince Russo heaped praise on Jarrett for his in-ring performance:

"I want to say this about Jeff [Jarrett]. Jeff appeared to be in great shape. And here's the reason why I say that. Bro, Jeff would never go out there and embarrass himself ever. And Jeff is not that guy. We have seen so many guys, his age, go out there and embarrass themselves. Jeff has way too much pride, he would never allow that to happen. So I just got to say, man. For a guy, his age, he appeared to be in great shape," Russo said. (10:48 - 11:29)
