A top AEW star's contract with the Jacksonville-based promotion is reportedly set to expire soon.

The star in question is none other than Daniel Garcia, who signed with the Tony Khan-led company in October 2021. Garcia is considered by many to be the future of All Elite Wrestling. However, the latter's booking in the company is often questionable.

At the post-Worlds End media scrum, the 25-year-old star confirmed that his contract will be coming up shortly. On his paywall Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful revealed that AEW has yet to offer Garcia a new contract.

"When I asked, I was told that they did not have a new contract for him [Daniel Garcia]," Sean Ross Sapp reported. [H/T:RingsideNews]

Daniel Garcia recently spoke on his future after being put over by AEW CEO Tony Khan

AEW star Daniel Garcia recently commented on his future and promised some big things in 2024.

Tony Khan put Daniel over after his match against Swerve Strickland on the first Dynamite of 2024. Khan promised the fans that Garcia would be featured a lot this year.

In an exclusive backstage interview with Renee Paquette, Daniel Garcia stated that getting put in the Continental Classic Tournament was a blessing. He further said it's time to show the lengths he will reach to have these matches.

"I went almost a year here just wanting and being hungry for opportunity after opportunity. I mean, I basically sat a year in the back or a year just walking out Chris Jericho to his theme song and you know, not doing anything on my own. I just feel like, you know, Now is my time to show what I can do to have these matches, and getting put in the Continental Classic was such a blessing," said Garcia. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
