Welcome back to another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's AEW News & Rumor Roundup, where we recap all the stories doing the rounds from in and out of All Elite Wrestling.

Recently, Jon Moxley entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program has been one of the most significant developments in wrestling. The AEW star has received much support since Tony Khan's announcement, and Renee Young also broke her silence over her husband's decision to enter rehab.

We also have all the updates on the creative plans for Miro and the decisions regarding Jon Moxley's replacement in the World Title Eliminator Tournament.

Meanwhile, top AEW talent has dropped a big hint regarding the possible signing of another major WWE Superstar.

This week's Dynamite featured the debut of an ex-WWE star, and Sasha Banks took to Twitter to react to her close friend's first match in the company.

We ended the roundup with Jim Ross sharing a vital update about his skin cancer diagnosis.

On that note, here's the AEW News & Rumor roundup for the day:

#5. The Young Bucks hint at Kevin Owens' AEW signing, update on the WWE star's contract status

The Young Bucks' recent Twitter bio update got fans talking as it seemed like a direct hint towards Kevin Owens' possible AEW move.

The Bucks updated their bio to 'mrow,' which stands for 'Mount Rushmore of Wrestling' - a faction that featured Kevin Owens, The Young Bucks, and Adam Cole back when they performed together on the independent circuit.

Kevin Owens even referenced his WWE contract status during the most recent episode of RAW, and his promo fueled speculation of his departure.

WrestlingNews.co reported that Kevin Owens' contract expires at the end of January 2022, and he will be eligible to appear on AEW TV as soon as February next year.

"Owens' WWE contract is set to expire at the end of January, and there is nothing indicating that he plans on staying. At this point, all signs point to him making the move to AEW. Since his contract expires at the end of January, he could appear on AEW TV as soon as February 1st," noted WrestlingNews.co.

However, KO still has three months left on his WWE deal, and the company will definitely attempt to re-sign the former Universal Champion.

Will Kevin Owens extend his WWE contract, or will he choose to reunite with his former 'mrow' stablemates in AEW? Only time will tell.

#4. Sasha Banks reacts to Samuray Del Sol's AEW debut

Samuray Del Sol, fka Kalisto, made his AEW debut on this week's Dynamite, and Sasha Banks was one of the biggest names to support the former United States Champion.

Banks first reacted to Tony Khan's announcement of Samuray Del Sol's AEW debut in the hours leading up to Dynamite. Here's what she tweeted:

The former WWE Women's Champion tweeted after Del Sol's match and seemed happy with the Luchador's performance on AEW Dynamite.

Sasha Banks and Samuray Del Sol have been close friends ever since they worked together in the WWE. Del Sol was released in April earlier this year, ending his 8-year stint in the WWE.

He teamed up with Aero Star on Dynamite and unfortunately came up short in the AAA tag team title match against FTR. Despite the loss, AEW fans should expect to see more of Samuray Del Sol in the future.

#3. Jim Ross provides an update on his skin cancer diagnosis and treatment

Jim Ross spoke at length about his skin cancer diagnosis during the latest episode of 'Grilling JR.' The AEW announcer thankfully sounded optimistic about the future.

JR expects to start radiation treatment soon and has to undergo 22 sessions within the next few months. Jim Ross won't miss much AEW TV time as the doctors have allowed him to continue working.

"I'm gonna start doing radiation soon. I have to do 22 radiation treatments. I somehow have to figure out how to do it on consecutive days if I can do it every day for three weeks or something, maybe longer. It's inevitable. It's coming, and I have to deal with it. I don't plan on missing any work, according to my doctors. It's just a matter of dealing with the issues, grit your teeth, and moving on," Ross said.

The legendary commentator thanked fans for their supportive messages and said he feels encouraged to fight his ongoing health issues.

Jim Ross said that he is fortunate to have not gotten a severe type of skin cancer, adding he would not need chemotherapy during his treatment.

"I really appreciate all the fans who have reached out on social media, giving me their encouragement and prayers. I didn't get the worst kind of skin cancer. It's part of the journey, and I'll deal with it; it's just a pain in the ass to get all these treatments. The good thing is there is no chemotherapy, so that helps with all the aftereffects and things of that nature. I'm just handling it and dealing with it. I've dealt with more and will continue to persevere," Jim Ross said. H/t Fightful

All of us here at Sportskeeda Wrestling send our best wishes to Jim Ross ahead of his treatment.

As announced yesterday, Jon Moxley entered an inpatient treatment program to address his alcohol addiction, and the former AEW World Champion will be out for an unspecified timeframe.

Renee Paquette took to Twitter to send a message of gratitude to all the supporters during this testing phase. The former WWE commentator was proud of her husband's decision and reiterated that his health was of utmost importance.

Here's what Renee Paquette tweeted out:

"Thanks for this outpouring of support. Jon is every bit of the badass we all know him to be. I couldn't be more proud of him for getting to proper help he needs, and being given the space to put his health first. Couldn't possibly love this man more."

Mick Foley also reacted to the news and commended Moxley for taking the brave step of checking himself into rehab. The hardcore legend was confident that Moxley would bounce back stronger owing to a solid support system.

"Wishing Jon the very best. A bold and brave decision - and I know he'll be back and better than ever. Mox has a heck of a support system, with great fans, and an amazing wife," wrote Foley.

Sportskeeda Wrestling once again sends its best wishes to Moxley and his family.

#1. Backstage news on Jon Moxley's replacement and the creative plans for Miro

As seen on the latest Dynamite, Miro replaced Jon Moxley in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament to defeat Orange Cassidy. The former TNT Champion will face Bryan Danielson in a hard-hitting final at Full Gear.

Fightful Select has reported that AEW 'cut it close' with getting Miro to the venue on Wednesday. The final decision to get Miro in as a replacement for Mox was made on Tuesday afternoon, and the former WWE star was originally not scheduled to be booked on Dynamite.

Miro was brought in for AEW Dynamite shortly before the show on Wednesday afternoon, and the company's last-minute plans thus came to fruition.

It was added that the creative plans for Miro have changed quite often lately, but sources within the company didn't disclose any more details.

Miro vs. Bryan Danielson will be one heck of a match, but who do you see walking away as the winner? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
