Survivor Series is right around the corner and it is that time of the year when WWE's top shows, RAW and Smackdown, collide determine which brand is superior. The 34th edition of Survivor Series is going to be special in many ways, as WWE will be celebrating 30 years of The Undertaker.

As usual, WWE has announced various matchups for the grand event. The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns is all set to take on the WWE Champion Randy Orton. The WWE Universe will also witness a battle between Asuka and Sasha Banks unless there's a last-minute title change. The Street Profits vs The New Day is another entertaining contest that could steal the show at Survivor Series.

The traditional five on five Survivor Series elimination match looks set to be an explosive contest this year. The Red brand already seems to be very dominant with Superstars like Keith Lee, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, and Sheamus being part of the team.

WWE Smackdown will need to assemble an even stronger unit if it wants to become the superior Brand for the second straight year. So far, only Jey Uso and Kevin Owens have qualified for Smackdown's Men Survivor Series team. In this article, let's take a look at five possible Superstars who could fill in the remaining spots on Team Smackdown.

#5 Rey Mysterio joins Team Blue for Survivor Series

Rey Mysterio has been a part of many memorable Survivor Series moments in his glorious career. His first match at the grand event came in 2005 when Mysterio was part of the Blue brand. And ever since then, Mysterio has continued to be a key player in this Battle of the Brands.

Mysterio has been a part of two consecutive Survivor Series events since making his WWE return in 2018. In 2018, Mysterio was part of Team SmackDown led by Shane McMahon, while last year, Mysterio battled the Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship.

Rey Mysterio could be in search of a new direction, as his feud with Seth Rollins is gradually getting stale.

WWE Smackdown could play a trump card by including the Master of 619 to its Survivor Series Team. Rey Mysterio's experience at the event can help in making it a level playing field at the pay-per-view in what could probably be his last match at Survivor Series.

#4 Seth Rollins leads Team Blue at Survivor Series

Seth Rollins is now the Savior of SmackDown
Seth Rollins is now the Savior of SmackDown

Seth Rollins has been one of the most important Superstars of WWE RAW for the last five years. Rollins was among only a few of those Superstars that never changed brands. He carried the Red flag every year at Survivor Series from tag team matches to mid-card title clashes, Rollins has represented Team Red in almost every way possible at Survivor Series.

But things have now changed as Rollins is no longer a RAW Superstar. The 2020 edition of the Draft brought Rollins to the Blue brand. It was a refreshing change as it provided Rollins with a whole new crop of opponents.

Currently, Rollins is involved in a highly intense feud with the Mysterio family. As mentioned before, the feud seems to be getting stale and is affecting every character involved. Rollins, just like Rey Mysterio, needs a new direction to stay relevant. Rollins can easily find that direction by leading Team Blue into Survivor Series.

Seth Rollins has always portrayed himself as a visionary leader under his Messiah gimmick and there might not be a better way to prove his leadership than guiding Team Smackdown to victory at Survivor Series.

It would also open the doors for many exciting future feuds for SmackDown's Savior. Either way, Seth Rollins' inclusion in Smackdown's squad looks inevitable and could help Smackdown in winning the brand wars.

#3 Big E joins Team Smackdown at Survivor Series

Big E is one of the most talented yet underutilized Superstars in WWE. Whether it is his incredible wrestling ability or charismatic personality, Big E has all the tools in the box to become the next World Champion. The New Day were split in this year's WWE Draft, which has now given Big E a chance to shine in singles competition, perhaps beginning at Survivor Series.

Big E's singles run has been quite entertaining this year. He has feuded with the likes of The Miz and Sheamus during his brief stint in singles competition. However, Big E is yet to be involved in a prominent storyline that could solidify his singles run.

Big E could get his breakthrough moment by getting himself into the Smackdown's Survivor Series team. Big E's immense experience in the Tag Team division could come in handy for Team Smackdown.

With Superstars like Keith Lee and Sheamus on Team RAW, Smackdown would need a powerhouse in their squad to balance things out. Big E would be the perfect choice for the role and could possibly help Team Smackdown in crushing Team RAW at Survivor Series.

#2 Lars Sullivan decimates Team RAW at Survivor Series

The Freak could dismantle Team RAW at Survivor Series

Lars Sullivan has had many ups and downs in his short WWE career. After having a dominant run in NXT, Sullivan moved to the main roster. But his controversial past and injuries held Sullivan back from climbing up the ranks on RAW and Smackdown. However, Vince McMahon still has high hopes for Sullivan and wants to give him a monstrous push. Could the former NXT star make an impact at Survivor Series?

Sullivan returned to WWE programming in October after a year-long absence. He wasted no time in putting the WWE roster on notice. Superstars like Jeff Hardy, Matt Riddle, The Miz, Shorty G, and John Morrison have felt the wrath of The Freak after his return.

Although Sullivan has been a destructive force on weekly shows, he is yet to have a prominent match at a PPV. Survivor Series could be the best place for him to continue his path of destruction.

Lars Sullivan might not be a dependable team player, but he would not like to miss the opportunity to obliterate Team RAW at Survivor Series. If Sullivan does join Team Blue, then we might see a dream confrontation between him and Braun Strowman, who has been WWE's resident monster for the last five years.

If Sullivan somehow co-exists with his teammates, then he might end up being the worst nightmare for Team RAW at Survivor Series.

#1 The Tale of The Undertaker comes full circle at Survivor Series

The Deadman.

The Undertaker shares a very close relationship with Survivor Series. At Survivor Series 1990, "The Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase introduced The Phenom as the fifth member of his Million Dollar Team. Little did anybody know that the gigantic Superstar from Death Valley would go on to rule people's hearts for the next three decades.

The contribution of The Undertaker to the wrestling industry is indescribable. He has been one of the most respected Superstars on the roster throughout his entire career. That's the reason why WWE has decided to dedicate the 33rd edition of the historical PPV to The Deadman.

However, the status of The Undertaker for Survivor Series is still up in the air. There's not been any information about his role at the PPV. This uncertainity surrounding the status of The Undertaker indicates that WWE might be planning something huge for The Phenom at Survivor Series.

With three spots remaining on Team Smackdown, we might see The Undertaker make his shocking return to join Team Smackdown. The Undertaker has been a cornerstone of WWE Smackdown and has had a few great moments on the Blue brand.

There are many advantages of The Undertaker joining Team Blue at Survivor Series. Firstly, this would give Team Blue a massive advantage, who seem to be weaker as compared to the big-name stars on Team RAW. The Deadman can work with the likes of Keith Lee and Braun Strowman, putting them over in the process.

If The Undertaker is to wrestle at the PPV, he must be a part of this brand war between RAW and Smackdown. This would not only ensure his story coming full circle but would also provide a perfect ending to the legendary career of The Undertaker.
