Huge backstage update on WWE's plans on Reigns' Championship reign, original plans for Rollins

Rollins’s injury hasn’t dithered WWE’s plans

When Seth Rollins got injured this month, it was reported as to how WWE were in panic mode over their future plans, which may not be the case after all.

According to reports, everything is calm and composed among WWE’s top brass, who had finalised on Reigns becoming the Champion at Survivor Series and carrying the belt up until WrestleMania 32.

If the backstage news is to be believed, Roman Reigns is still on course in capturing his maiden singles title at Survivor Series as the WWE is still very much locked onto the idea. All of the speculations of WWE being in panic mode post-Rollins’ has turned out to be untrue, as the officials were firm on Reigns succeeding Rollins.

As far as Reigns title reigns goes, WWE had plans for The Samoan Superman to win the title at Survivor Series and defend it for the first time in a standard TLC match against Rollins at the December pay-per-view.

Roman Reigns was logically booked to successfully defend his title at TLC in the main event rematch against Rollins at Tables, Ladders and chairs. As of now he is sure to win the title at Survivor Series, but who he defends against at TLC is yet to be finalised.

As of now, Reigns is all set to carry the belt up until WrestleMania 32, and the WWE is busy thinking for opponents to pit him up against.

As far as WrestleMnaia plans regarding Rollins go, contrary to speculations about his injury causing major transformations to existing plans, it didn’t prove much of a set back to WWE’s main event plans.

They apparently have 3-4 main event matches in the works and The Architect’s injury didn’t affect any of these chalked out plans. This points out to the fact that Rollins may not have been a major proposition in the main event scheme of things for WrestleMania.

Rollins competing at WrestleMania is all but out of the question as of now, and expect the next few months to be all about the ‘Roman Empire’ taking over the WWE Universe.
