WWE Rumors: Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens program in works

Owens Jericho
Is WWE eyeing a split between these two?

The strained friendship between Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens is the hottest act that is going on in Monday Night Raw right now. If rumours are to be believed, WWE is eyeing a program between these two trash-talkers in the upcoming months, probably before Jericho leaves to work with Fozzy.

The friendship between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho bloomed soon after the WWE Draft that took place earlier this year. Ever since that, it has been one of the most entertaining act that Monday Night Raw has in its sleeves week after week. It came into more prominence after Kevin Owens captured the WWE Universal Championship.

The friendship between the heel duo gave us some memorable moments like the List of Jericho, their constant harassment of Tom Philips, and several others. The heel duo has been extraordinary in their mic work and their in-ring shenanigans are also absolutely entertaining.

Recently, the estranged friendship has been having some difficulties. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are hell bent on making their friendship as strained as possible. From the looks of it, their attempts seem to be working. Jericho and Owens are not exactly on the same page for the recent few weeks.

According to Cagesideseats, WWE is looking to split the friends apart and have a program between them before Jericho leaves to work with Fozzy. Jericho is set to leave WWE and work with Fozzy soon after WrestleMania. So, we can expect Owens and Jericho to go head to head possibly at WrestleMania. If these rumours are to be believed, we can expect Kevin Ownes to drop his belt soon, even at Roadblock – End of the Line.

It will be interesting to see who turns face when the heel duo splits up. Most probably, it will be Jericho given the fact that he is leaving soon and Owens is an extraordinary heel in his own right. But, WWE may go with heel vs heel feud too but it is mostly unlikely given the stage set for the match will be at WrestleMania.
