There have been a number of hilarious WWE botches over the years

WWE is presented in front of a live audience which means that botches are inevitable. Some of the company's biggest stars have fallen foul to botches over the years but the situation becomes so much worse when fellow performers laugh at the situation.

Whilst some botches are brutal, others are hilarious and sometimes it's nice to see that several superstars bask in the moment and make sure that they laugh about their fellow star's shortcomings.

The following list looks at just five times WWE stars have laughed at fellow wrestler's botches.

#5. Randy Orton laughed about WWE mixing up his 2022 Royal Rumble entrance number with Shane McMahon

Randy Orton has become quite a laid-back WWE Superstar in recent years and this has become apparent through the number of times the former world champion has broken character on TV.

From his reaction to a botch with The Singh Brothers to needing to let Shane McMahon's kids know their father was alright following a brutal spot, Orton has shown his range during his time on-screen.

The 2022 Royal Rumble match has made headlines for all the wrong reasons and one story coming out of the show was that Shane McMahon and Randy Orton got their numbers mixed up. This meant that Orton was at the curtain waiting to make his entrance at number 28 when Shane McMahon's music hit.

The planning for the men's Royal Rumble match was seemingly quite lengthy and there were a lot of changes, so this kind of mixup appeared to just be another reason to laugh for Orton, who had been part of the planning process from the beginning.

Fightful Select noted that Orton found this error quite funny, to the point where he was doubled over on the floor laughing about it. Despite his reaction to the botch, Orton was able to quickly recover and finally make his way out to the ring a few minutes later, at which point McMahon had already made quite the impact in the match.

#4. Vince McMahon laughs at Riddle when he forgets his lines on WWE RAW

Riddle has been a hilarious addition to Monday Night RAW in recent years, but the former NXT Superstar has had his own fair share of botches whilst being on WWE's main roster.

One of Riddle's biggest botches came back in April 2021 when he was part of a backstage segment with Asuka and legitimately forgot his lines. Riddle then stopped talking and just walked away and according to a report by The Wrestling Observer, this made WWE Chairman Vince McMahon laugh.

“Well, it was a shoot! Yup, they did not tell him…I haven’t fully figured out the story yet because the story I was told actually doesn’t make a lot of sense. The story I was told was he wasn’t told it was live but [Bruce] Prichard and Vince [McMahon] saw it and they just laughed and laughed and laughed. So, if it was live you can’t redo it. So I’m wondering if what actually happened was a pretape that he screwed up but they loved the pretape so much — the point is what you saw on TV was not a plan. He was supposed to deliver his line. Riddle has become a firm fan favorite and his storyline with Randy Orton is one of the most entertaining on RAW at present, which could be why he was able to get away with such a huge error.

#3. Randy Orton laughs as King Corbin's throne breaks on WWE RAW

After winning WWE's King of the Ring tournament in 2019, Baron Corbin changed his name to King Corbin and was then given a throne.

As part of an episode of Monday Night RAW in October 2019, Corbin was on his throne whilst working on a storyline with Randy Orton and his throne actually broke. Luckily, the cameras weren't on Corbin at the time and the star was able to get up before the throne broke to save him from any embarrassment.

Fans in the arena were able to capture footage of the mishap and shared it on Twitter, where it can be seen that Orton found the botch hilarious. At first, The Viper is completely unaware that anything is going on, before he turns around and sees the throne on the floor, covers his mouth in disbelief, and has a little giggle.

At the time, Corbin was a heel and it's clear that he's struggling to remain in character and really wants to laugh at the botch as well.

#2. Bayley laughs as Sasha Banks accidentally drops her Championship on SmackDown

WWE presented a pre-recorded episode of SmackDown on Christmas Day back in 2020 which saw Sasha Banks make her way to the ring with the SmackDown Women's Championship.

The Boss had quite the mishap with the title while she was attempting to do her usual dance on the entrance ramp when she dropped the championship. Bayley, who was in the ring at the time, found the botch hilarious and went on to laugh at her former friend.

Banks was able to shrug off the error and continue with her entrance, but on the edited episode of the show, Bayley can still be seen laughing in the ring. This is why many members of the WWE Universe went looking for unedited footage of the botch.

Banks isn't the first superstar to drop a championship, but it made it even more hilarious that she was called out on it by her long-time friend Bayley.

#1. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose laugh at Roman Reigns' WWE entrance botch

Back in 2013 when Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns made up The Shield, the trio would make their way to the ring together ahead of WWE matches.

At a live show in Dublin, Ireland, Roman Reigns tried to be fancy with his entrance and it's safe to say that it went wrong. The Tribal Chief was looking to jump over the top rope and land on his feet, but instead landed with a thud on the mat.

Seth and Dean were not the only ones who laughed at Reigns following the botch, since his opponents Big E, Goldust and Cody Rhodes can clearly be seen trying to hide the smirks on their faces.

Reigns has never attempted this entrance on WWE TV and it's obvious why, since the current Universal Champion appears as though he is yet to master the landing. It's also fair to say that this kind of entrance would definitely not fit in with his current gimmick on SmackDown.
