297lb unpinned WWE Superstar to end Roman Reigns' title run at 1500 days? Exploring potential plan

Will Roman Reigns be dethroned in Germany?
Will Roman Reigns be dethroned in Germany?

Roman Reigns has been dominating WWE for more than 1,200 days, and the company could now be planning to allow him to continue his reign until they make the trip to Germany in August 2024.

It was announced earlier today that the company would present their Bash in Berlin on August 31, which could finally be where Gunther is given the chance to challenge Roman Reigns.

Gunther has proved himself on the main roster and remains unpinned since being promoted in 2022. The Intercontinental Champion is perhaps the best challenger for Reigns in WWE at the moment since he is currently matching his reign over on RAW.

The Ring General has the backing of Imperium in the same way that Reigns has The Bloodline, and this could be one of the biggest talking points heading into next year's show and build up a huge main event match.

The Austrian star has been the Intercontinental Champion for more than 500 days now, whereas Reigns has held the Universal Title for more than 1149 days now. If The Head of the Table somehow manages to keep his title till next August, he will surpass Hulk Hogan's 1474-day reign and become the second-longest reigning world champion in WWE.

Roman Reigns could still hold the title until WWE Bash in Berlin

The Tribal Chief isn't expected to defend his Undisputed Championship at Survivor Series, which means that if he gets past LA Knight at Crown Jewel, he has a straight path to the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Reigns would then only have to hold the title for a few more months to set up a huge match between himself and Gunther in Germany.

If Gunther remains unpinned until then, this could be a WrestleMania-worthy main event and could put Reigns to the test in more ways than he has ever been tested before. Imperium is expected to play a huge role in the show in Berlin, and a title match for The Ring General could be the headline match that the company is expecting to push.
