Recovering from injury, Anna Hall reveals how Adidas Atlantic City Games 2023 made her realise her true potential

Anna Hall has spent half of this season recovering from her knee injury and trying her best to bounce back. The heptathalete will be competing at the Adidas Atlantic City Games on May 18, 2024.

Last year, Hall competed in the Women 100 meter hurdles at the event. While she did not win, the games had an impact on her, about which, she opened up recently.

The 23-year-old has reached Atlanta and is competing in two events this year, namely the long jump and 100m hurdles.

Anna Hall was seen having a conversation with the Atlantic City Games press and revealed how important this event was for her. The American said that it made her realize her true potential in her first year as a professional. She spoke about how her last year in Atlanta was a roller-coaster of emotions.

Hall opened up about what setting a PB at the event did to her mindset during that competition.

"I think last year was a whirlwind. It was crazy. I think my first year as a professional I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to improve but I was not expecting that (PB), and so I think that took me a bit by surprise," Anna Hall said.

In the aforementioned interview, Hall said that setting a personal best in her first year as a pro made her feel confident about herself and that it made her realize she was exactly where she wanted to be.

"It definitely showed me that I was like, wow, okay I'm like already at near the level that I wanted to be at and I'm already at such a high level and so I think that made me realize what my potential might be," Hall stated.

Along with this, Anna Hall also stated that this got her going and gave her a lot of motivation, however, her injury in January was a little bump on the road, but she is bouncing back to her regular self.

"It's really exciting and motivating. It took a lot of momentum into the fall. And then, unfortunately, I had a knee surgery in January, so that's a bit of a hiccup in that momentum but I feel really strong about being able to work back to my old self," she added.

The track and field fans have their sights set on Hall for her second year at the Adidas Atlantic City Games and to watch her much-anticipated comeback.
