The AHL clash between the Toronto Marlies and Belleville Senators on Friday got intense with a dropping-of-the-gloves moment.

The chaos on the ice ignited at the end of the second period when the Senators' Bokondji Imama jabbed Marlies goalie, Dennis Hildeby.

Imama's actions, unsurprisingly, were not welcomed by Toronto Marlies players, as Kyle Clifford came in flying in support of his goalie and dropped his gloves against Imama in the process.

Multiple players from both ends soon got themselves involved in the scuffle.

As a result, Senators winger Imama was given a five-minute major penalty for spearing, another five for fighting and two for leaving the bench, along with two game misconducts.

Meanwhile, Marlies forward Kyle Clifford was penalized with five minutes major for fighting, two for leaving the bench and a game misconduct.

Joseph Blandidi was the other forward for the Marlies to be penalized for game misconduct at the end of the second period.

The Marlies are an NHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, whereas the Belleville Senators are the top minor league affiliate of the Ottawa Senators.
