Cassie Ventura was seen with several bruises on her legs at the premiere of her film, The Perfect Match, on March 7, 2016, just two days after she was allegedly assaulted by her ex, Sean Diddy Combs.

CNN released footage of the alleged assault from March 5, 2016, this week on Friday. The footage is reportedly from security cameras at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City.

Ventura and Diddy walked the red carpet together on the premiere day. She wore a black and gold sleeveless dress, which showed multiple bruises on her legs. Additionally, she displayed a bruise on her upper left arm.

Although Ventura later changed into a full-sleeve green dress, the bruises on her legs were still visible. However, it is unknown whether the bruises were related to Diddy's alleged attack.

Ventura and Combs were said to have been in a relationship from 2007 and 2018, having first met in 2006 when the model was 19 years old and Combs was 37.

Video footage of Cassie Ventura being assaulted by her ex Sean Diddy Combs resurfaced on the internet

On Friday, May 17, CNN released purported video footage from 2016 allegedly showing Sean Diddy Combs assaulting and dragging his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The CCTV footage is said to be from March 5, 2016, captured at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California.

The emergence of this video comes two months after Diddy's homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Homeland Security as a part of a s*x trafficking investigation.

In the video, Cassie Ventura is seen walking down the corridor, with Sean Diddy Combs following her. The model appears to be attempting to enter an elevator when Diddy allegedly pulls her back and throws her to the ground.

The footage further depicts the rapper holding Cassie Ventura by the neck and smashing her head against the wall. Diddy is also seen picking up two designer bags that Cassie Ventura was carrying before going off-camera. Allegedly, Diddy proceeds to drag her by her hoodie to another location, as seen in the footage.

In a statement to the Daily Mail on May 17, Ventura's lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, described the recently surfaced video as "gut-wrenching" and stated that it further confirms Diddy's "disturbing and predatory behavior." He stated:

"The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light."

Previously, Cassie Ventura had filed a lawsuit against Combs, alleging r*pe, s*xual assault, domestic violence, and other related offenses. In November 2023, the two parties reached an undisclosed settlement outside of court. Speaking after the settlement, Ventura said:

"I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,' Cassie said in a statement. I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support."

Cassie Ventura reportedly described a similar incident in her lawsuit against Diddy

In Cassie Ventura's 2023 lawsuit against Diddy, she reportedly described an incident similar to what can be seen on CNN's footage. The lawsuit specified that the incident occurred at the hotel. It stated:

"In on around March 2016 Mr Combs, during an FO at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Mr Combs became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye."

The lawsuit further outlined that Combs followed Cassie Ventura and threw "glass vases" at her. It continued:

"After he fell asleep, Ms. Ventura tried to leave the hotel room, but as she exited, Ms Combs awoke and began screaming at Ms Ventura. He followed her into the hallway while yelling at her. He grabbed her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw then at her, causing glass to shatter around them as she ran to the elevator to escape."

In her lawsuit, Cassie also mentioned that she managed to flee from Diddy but later returned to the hotel in fear of the rapper and of being stuck in his "vicious cycle of abuse." It noted:

"Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser."

It continued:

"When she returned, hotel security staff urged her to get back into a cab and go to her apartment, suggesting that they had seen the security footage showing Mr. Combs beating Ms. Ventura and throwing glass at her in the hotel hallway."

As reported by the Daily Mail, Ventura's attorney asserted that Diddy allegedly paid $50,000 to obtain alleged security footage depicting his assault on the model. However, it is not known whether the recently-emerged footage released by CNN is the same as the one Combs allegedly tried to buy.

Presently, Sean Diddy Combs faces additional legal battles where he has been accused of multiple crimes, including s*xual assault, coercion, and r*pe. However, the rapper and his attorneys have denied all allegations, including Cassie Ventura's charges against him.
