WATCH: Tyreek Hill attends Miami Northwestern scrimmage to support HC Teddy Bridgewater

Tyreek Hill recently made a notable appearance at a Miami Northwestern Senior High School scrimmage, showing support for his former Miami Dolphins teammate, Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater, a former Pro Bowl quarterback who concluded a 10-year NFL career, wrapped up his first spring practice as the head football coach of his alma mater with this event.

Hill, a five-time First-Team All-Pro wide receiver, essentially acted as an assistant coach during the scrimmage, engaging directly with the young athletes to help them improve their skills.

Bridgewater demonstrated his capabilities on the field instead of merely propelling the instructions to the players. In the school's annual Blue-Gold scrimmage, he went in at quarterback for one series, completing all three of his attempts, including a touchdown pass.

Reflecting on his performance, Bridgewater told Rivals.com:

"I just dinked and dunked. It's high school football. You don't have to create all these magical plays. You just get the ball to your guys. ... That's all you've got to do. That's why I just try to remind my guys that it doesn't take much."

Throughout Tyreek Hill’s incredible time in the NFL, he has many records to his name such as having 111 receptions in 2021, 1,479 receiving yards in 2018, and tying with Dwayne Bowe for 15 touchdown receptions in 2020.

In 2023, Hill recorded five games with 150+ receiving yards over the first 11 games of the season, the most in the Super Bowl era. His career totals include 717 catches for 10,139 yards and 89 touchdowns over eight seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins. Hill has been selected for seven Pro Bowls and won one championship.

Teddy Bridgewater transitions to coaching after remarkable NFL career

In February Bridgewater joined Miami Northwestern Senior High School as their new head coach. Teddy Bridgewater ended his NFL career at age 31 when he backed up Jared Goff in Detroit during the 2023 season. He spent 10 years as a starter and had a 33-32 record with the Vikings, Saints, Panthers, Broncos, and Dolphins.

His best year was 2015 when he made the Pro Bowl for helping Minnesota win their division title. Before the 2016 season, Teddy Bridgewater failed a severe knee injury at practice which led to him missing out the whole season.

Only 25 passes were thrown by him between 2017 and 2018. After Drew Brees’ injury in 2019, Bridgewater replaced him in the Saints team. He won all the five games he started, with nine touchdowns and only two interceptions on nearly 68% completion of his passes.

He got a huge role in 2020 after this achievement joining the Panthers where he made a career-high 69.1% completion across 15 games. During his time with the Broncos in 2021, he won half of his fourteen starts while delivering consistent performance throughout.

Teddy Bridgewater also showcased great skill as a senior at Miami Northwestern by throwing for 2,606 yards and 22 touchdowns despite suffering from an injured MCL; additionally scoring 8 more times with 223 rushing yards.
