WWE Top 5 rumors of the week and analysis: 1 November, 2015

Usos

NIck DinsmoreThe conclusion of Hell in a Cell apparently gave the fans a new topic to discuss about in the form of Survivor Series. The pay-per-view is hands down one of the most important shows of the year for WWE and they will be looking to come out all guns blazing for the event. WWEs plans for the event were a big talking point in the rumor mill last week.Apart from this, there were also mentions about possible returns that might happen down the lane. As usual, we are going to line up all the standout rumors from the past week and have a good look at them. So here are the top rumors from last seven days and their analysis.

#5 Usos set for big push

Usos

The Usos have been out of television for quite some time now. It was a shoulder injury to Jey Uso that kept the team out of action. According to the rumors, they are all set to come back and receive a strong push from WWE. The company has plans of pushing Usos as the top baby face tag team in the division and they might even win the tag titles from New Day. It was also one of the reasons why Dudley Boyz did not win the Championship at Hell in a Cell.

If Usos are indeed going to win the title when they return, we could expect a dream showdown between Dudleys and Usos at some point.

#4 Nash preparing for a return

Kevin Nash

The WWE Universe might get to see the return of Kevin Nash soon as he is currently training for one last run in the wrestling business. Nash, who currently has problems with his neck and shoulder, is having them fixed so that he could have a clean run. Nash last appeared in WrestleMania where he aligned with his former NWo buddies to aid Sting. He has appeared for WWE sporadically over the past few years as well but is yet to have a storyline feud after the one his had with Triple H.

If Nash does get back in shape, he won’t have trouble returning. Though it is not the most exciting rumor out there, return of Nash might produce a wave of nostalgia among the fans.

#3 Return of former WWE superstar

Nick Dinsmore

Apart from Nash, another former superstar might be lined up for a surprise return. Nick Dinsmore, who played Eugene, is rumored to be in talks with WWE for a return. Some sites even claimed that he has already signed a deal with WWE but the type of the deal is still unclear. Dinsmore has been a major presence in the independent circuit ever since he left WWE and served also as an NXT trainer a couple of years back.

He might or might not be returning as a trainer but considering the talent he has inside the ring, it would be great to see him wrestle in a different character.

#2 Survivor Series plans and possible card

undertaker

The rumors about the Survivor Series match card dominated the rumor mill last week. WWE is planning to have two traditional elimination matches for the pay-per-view and one will feature Team Undertaker and Wyatt Family. Kane is all set to be one member of Undertaker’s teammate, but there is no news on other two names.

Paige and Charlotte could battle for the Divas Championship as well while there are currently no rumors about Nikki Bella. This adds fuel to the rumors about a possible hiatus from her. The Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins match is planned to be the show stopper for this year’s Survivor Series and this match, ended up being the topic of our top rumor.

#1 Plans for Reigns and Rollins

Dean Ambrose

Reigns and Rollins are set to headline Survivor Series and the match could be a frustrating outing for Reigns fans. WWE is planning to keep the championship on Rollins for the longer run and Reigns is clearly not going to win it at Survivor Series. The current idea is to screw Reigns at the pay-per-view so that he gets sympathy as a baby face. WWE then wants to put the title on Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania.

A heel turn from Dean Ambrose could be in the books to protect both Rollins and Reigns at Survivor Series. Ambrose currently has no program and a heel turn could open up refreshing options for the lunatic fringe.
