On Friday, January 12, promoting their latest comeback, BORN TO BE, the ITZY members appeared on the famous Korean variety show Halmyungsoo, hosted by Park Myung-soo. The members confessed that they try to follow a diet to lose weight. However, it gets hard to maintain them or see proper results due to their busy schedules, especially during comebacks. The member, Chaeryeong, stated that one of the important things to lose weight is sleep, but since the members' schedule allows them less time to catch some rest, it naturally leads to weight gain. Ultimately, their busy schedule comes in the way of their diet.

"I need lots of sleep to lose weight. We don't have enough time to sleep."

ITZY confesses about dieting and weight loss struggles amidst their busy schedules during comebacks

On January 8, the five-member K-pop girl group ITZY rolled out their third studio album, BORN TO BE, with the song UNTOUCHABLE as its title track. However, the album only included four members due to Lia's current hiatus because of a need to take care of her anxiety. The album remains a significant piece in their discography for various reasons.

The members not only personally participated in the composition and writing of the songs on the album but also released their first solo tracks. As fans and other netizens positively reacted to the comeback, the members kickstarted their promotional schedule with their first appearance on Halmyungsoo.

The warm host, Park Myung-soo, let the members order everything they craved and continued to discuss several topics about the comeback as they enjoyed their meal together. While eating their meal, Myung-soo asked the members whether they go on diets before comebacks. Leader Yeji answered that they try to, but it doesn't work out.

As Chaeryeong enthusiastically agreed with her, Myung-soo asked her what she found challenging while dieting. She stated,

"I need lots of sleep to lose weight. We don't have enough time to sleep. So I don't lose much weight in the morning. That's upsetting."

To this, Yuna added,

"And if you don't sleep, you keep eating because you're low on sugar. So, I get bloated and gain weight."

Upon hearing this, the host immediately asked the members to take a nap in the location since they were recording at a guesthouse. While the conversation drifted to another topic, it looked like ITZY worked a lot during this comeback. In another instance, during their appearance on Halmyungsoo, Yeji stated that they began preparing for the filming of BORN TO BE immediately after wrapping up the music video for their previous single, CAKE.

Additionally, unlike any of their other comebacks, ITZY filmed seven music videos for the ten-track album. They had four for each of their solo tracks and three for BORN TO BE, UNTOUCHABLE, and Mr. Vampire.

Since Yeji also stated that they finished filming only a few weeks before the comeback, the members have been quite busy the past few months. Therefore, fans have been tuning into ITZY's latest comeback and enthusiastically streaming their videos. All the videos are available for streaming on YouTube.
