Netflix (2024) Lift cast revealed: Action comedy movie details explored

Lift cast brings comedian Kevin Hart and enigmatic Gugu Mbatha-Raw face to face in Netflix’s latest comedy thriller. Written by Daniel Kunka and directed by F. Gary Gary, the movie stars Kevin Hart in the lead. Hart also serves as a co-producer for the film, along with Matt Reeves, Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, and more. While the plot has references to Europe, a large part of the filming was done in Northern Ireland.

Vincent D'Onofrio, of Daredevil fame, portrays the role of Denton in the heist movie, a character who is an expert in disguise. He has been an old ally of Cyrus in many of their missions. His job in this movie is to use his disguise to distract the cabin crew so that his team can go ahead with the heist.

Before being part of the Lift cast, D’Onofrio recently made news about his role as Kingpin in the MCU’s Echo. He has reprised the role in Daredevil and Hawkeye, too. He is also known for his work in Men in Black, Full Metal Jacket, The Cell, and Jurassic World.

With the plan set to steal the gold midair, Cyrus’s team positions themselves among the crew while Camilla follows in another jet. However, the plane crash lands with Cyrus, Abby, and Camilla taken hostages by Jorgensen’s men. As they take the hostages and the gold to Tuscany, Commander Huxley sends NATO jets to attack Jorgensen’s plane.

However, the NATO jets are withdrawn, and the gold and the hostages land in Tuscany, where a fight ensues in which Jorgensen executes one of the representatives of Leviathan. When the authorities arrive, Cyrus manages to prove Lars’s crime and he is taken away.

Abby resigns from Interpol and joins Cyrus, and Cyrus reveals that they had managed to replace the real gold with gold-plated iron bars. Later, the crew recovers the stolen gold, and Cyrus and Abby get together.
