The Philadelphia Eagles dominated again last night over the Miami Dolphins. Thus far, they're looking like a serious contender, one bent on avenging their Super Bowl loss last year. Doing so will be tough, and it is a pursuit that will be aided by the addition of a few players at the NFL Trade Deadline.
The Eagles are an extremely well-rounded team. They have good players and depth at almost every single position, so they don't need a lot. Still, there are needs they can address and get even better.

3) Linebacker
Linebacker is a bit of a weak spot on the Eagles defense, if such a thing even exists. Haason Reddick is a good pass-rusher, but doesn't provide as much off ball. Zach Cunningham is a good player as well, but it's not a terribly strong unit overall. This is one that can be upgraded by adding someone like Josey Jewell from the Denver Broncos or Jordan Hicks from the Minnesota Vikings.

2) Running back
Simply put, running back is not a weak spot for the Philadelphia Eagles. D'Andre Swift is a good player who's thriving behind their offensive line. Kenneth Gainwell is a solid backup, too. Nevertheless, depth and more talent is never a bad thing. They could look at Dalvin Cook as a former Pro Bowler desperately in need of better blocking. Derrick Henry is enticing, and they could even get Miles Sanders back after a poor start with the Carolina Panthers.
1) Safety
Safety is another "weak" spot in the Eagles defense, which has again been a top unit in the NFL. Terrell Edmunds is a good player and Reed Blankenship is fine but is hurt. Depth and more talent could go a long way on the back end, so perhaps someone like Jeremy Chinn from the Carolina Panthers or Harrison Smith of the Vikings could work here. There are a lot of good safeties available, and the Eagles could probably get someone they like for cheap. They've been linked to Chinn in rumors already.
