Since its launch in 2009, Minecraft has not only been relevant but also very popular. In its 15 years of existence, Minecraft has broken several records, even becoming the world’s most-selling videogame, with more than 300 million copies. To celebrate Minecraft's 15th birthday, Mojang Studios is set to announce the special rewards players can get for the 15th anniversary of the game.

While the Minecraft 1.21 update is a gift in itself, bringing a ton of new features to the game, Mojang Studios has something special for players this time. Here’s everything that we know so far about the leaked rewards for the 15th anniversary of the game.

As the anniversary closes in, several leaks have started surfacing on social media platforms, particularly on X. The most prominent (and probable) leak was shared by X user @ItsMwanOffi. The user posted an image that shows a cape with the texture of a creeper along with its face.

Minecraft capes are some of the most common items that Mojang Studios offers players during special events. These items cannot be crafted or acquired from third-party places like player skins, making them special and a perfect token of remembrance of an event.

The image of the cape looks great with the green texture and the face of the creeper making it look unique. So out of all the leaks, the cape is the most believable one. It's also worth noting that the account that leaked the information also stated that the cape would be available for both Java and Bedrock editions. Since the two editions of the game come bundled together, players do not have to worry about getting the cape.

Among the exciting rumors, one of the things that stands out is that Mojang might announce the official name for the 1.21 update.

Another tweet by X user Acubura_Gamer mentions a host of possible things that players can expect from this event. Apart from the update's official name, release date, and cape, we can expect more news about the upcoming movie and a surprising Minecraft Legends update!

This might come as a shock to many players as Legends has been dead for months. But Mojang might revive the game or at least add a few things to it to make it better. At the moment, all we can do is wait and watch.
