WWE NXT Live Results (May 7th, 2024): Top faction member abducted by rivals following main event!

FULL RESULTS FOR WWE NXT (MAY 7th, 2024):
WES LEE defeats Josh Briggs by pin.
SHAYNA BASZLER defeats Karmen Petrovic by submission.
TYRIEK IGWE and TYSON DUPONT defeat Charlie Dempsey and Myles Borne by pin.
MIA YIM defeats Arianna Grace by pin.
FALLON HENLEY defeats Kelani Jordan by pin.
LEXIS KING defeats Duke Hudson by pin.
ROXANNE PEREZ defeats Chelsea Green by pin.

Chelsea loses it in the ring as Roxy kisses her title. We then go to a black SUV in the parking lot. The D'Angelo Family has Damon Kemp in the back of the SUV to counter the Catch Clause of the NQCC. After the SUV drives off looking for Kemp, Dempsey walks out of the arena.

With Roxanne in the other corner, Green lands a Missile Dropkick off the top for a two-count. Chelsea goes for the I'm Prettier, but Perez countes. Green Counters, too. They trade a few pin attempts. Roxy hits Pop Rox off the ropes for the win.
Result - Roxanne Perez defeats Chelsea Green by pin.

Green stomps on Roxy's head on the ring apron. She climbs to the top, but Perez stops her. She hits a Hurricanrana off the top for a close call. Roxy yells at the ref for a slow count.

Chelsea fights back with a big boot and a Ruff Ryder. She adds some elbows in the corner followed by a short version of a Flatliner for a near fall. The two trade counters until Perez decks Green in the face. She sends her from the ring with a Shotgun dropkick.

Roxy has Chelsea in a Side Russian Leg Sweep move. Vic Joseph then yells at Booker for rooting for Roxanne Perez during the match. What about when he does the same for Trick Williams, Mr. Joseph??? Consistency in commentary, please!!

Chelsea works her way out a submission attempt from Roxy. Chelsea pats Roxy on the head mockingly but Perez slaps her. Green returns fire after sliding out of the ring.

It's Main Event Time as Chelsea Green challenges Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title!

The matchups for some of the Women's North American Title matches are set for next week. Izzi Dame faces Sol Ruca, while Lash Legend battles Ivy Nile. Tony D gets his shot at the Heritage Cup next week, and Noam Dar vs. Je'Von Evans is also set for next week.

Chase U is upset backstage about Lexis King. Ridge Holland walks up to apologize because Thea reminds him of his daughter. Duke says 'buy us dinner and we'll call it even' but Riley Osborne doesn't accept the apology. He says he'll prove it to Chase U.

Jazmyn Nyx has a backstage segment claiming that Thea Hail was a menace because Thea accidentally hit Jacy, breaking her nose. She's mad that nothing is being done for committing a 'heinous crime.'

Chase University is sad in the ring after Duke's loss. Meta-Four is leaving the arena, but they run into Je'Von Evans. Dar isn't happy about having his time wasted, so I guess it'll lead to a match next week.

As Chelsea Green heads out to the ring, she walks by Mr. Stone, and they share a smile (she started with Stone as her manager when she was first in NXT).

Duke hits a suplex. King trips Duke, sending him face-first into the ropes. He kicks Duke in the gut before stomping on him. Duke hits a Sunset Flip on King for a near fall. He adds some punches to the gut of Lexis. King lands a forearm on the back of Duke's head. He then trash-talks with Thea Hail before rolling out of the ring. He tries to leave but Ridge Holland walks him back to the ring. Andre Chase stops him but Ridge inadvertently leaves a chair in the ring. The ref tosses the chair and King hits a Superkick on Duke. He then lands the Coronation for the win.
Result - Lexis King defeats Duke Hudson by pin.

Up next is Duke Hudson taking on Lexis King after King's insults hurled toward Thea Hail and Ridge Holland. King lands a few chops that don't seem to faze Duke.

Hudson hits a few sidewalk slams for a two-count. Duke lands a chop on King's chest before landing a Donkey Kong double chop.

Ava reveals the 12 women: Sol Ruca, Thea Hail, Jaida Parker, Brinley Reece, Michin, Fallon Henley, and some other women because they cut it out too fast.

Conditioning drills tested endurance and stamina.

The Strength and Conditioning portion utilized more power stuff than power, including a medicine ball toss and a thigh pull lift.

I was almost expecting Henley to lose like Sonya Deville when she kept getting title shots but losing. Or Corbin.

Henley hits a Suplex variation off the top but Jordan moves out of the way before she can land a punch. Jordan is hit with the turnbuckle pad and they make it seem like she was hit with a foreign object. Jordan does get inadvertently sent into the exposed buckle. Henley adds a Shining Wizard kick for the win.

Jordan does a cartwheel for no reason and then a back elbow. She keeps utilizing time-wasting flips and other moves instead of just working on her opponent. She goes for a handstand move off the ropes but gets kicked in the gut.

Fallon has Kelani trapped in a headlock but Jordan tries to escape. Henley locks in a Million Dollar Dream submission. Jordan breaks out of it but Henley locks it in again.

Kelani has Henley in a headlock but Henley slams her head into the top rope to break out of it. She adds her sliding punch as the show heads off to commercial.

Henley tricks Kelani early on but Jordan lands a flurry of moves. Henley fights back and stomps Jordan in the corner. She decks Jordan in the face but Jordan returns fire. She lands a somersault legdrop for two.

We then have Nattie and Karmen Petrovic discussing how they can get an edge because Karate and wrestling are different. One guy congratulates Nattie while another says Petrovic is a 'smoke show' and who cares if she lost? She kicks him in the head and Nattie says they should build off that.

We get a black room of only someone snoring. Probably Wendy Choo's return . . .

Back to the combine and the power section, including the vertical jump, broad jump, and the rotational punch. How do the vertical and broad jump measure power? Jaida Parker 'excelled' in the power section.

Trick says he isn't out here to laugh but only to find out what's in the envelope. Dar informs Lash to reveal what's in the envelope. She pulls out a photo of Trick pinning Dar with Dar's foot under the rope. Dar says that the win propelled him to beat Ilja Dragunov for the title. Noam says he's a con, and he will expose him.

Oro then says Trick is a fraudulent Champ before Trick verbally smacks them down. He then says he's not the daddy before telling Lash to tell them the truth, which confuses Meta Four. He says she calls him 'Trick Willy Wonka,' but Lash tries to leave the ring. He holds her back, but Dar blasts him with a spinning back elbow. Dar picks up the title.

Lash dances to his music, upsetting Jakara Jackson. Dar gives him a backhanded compliment by saying it must be nice to be Trick Williams now. They play a 'special video' detailing his ascent.

On tap now is the Supernova Sessions with Meta-Four and Trick Williams. Dar defines that a Trick is also known as a scheme before introducing Trick Williams. Lash cuts him off to say that he's a 'very special guest' to the chagrin of the rest of Meta Four.

Before the next match, Thea Hail is talking with Ridge Holland. He says he knows how she feels with all her anger and that he has a daughter who he hopes grows like her.

Chase U walks up to thank him and congratulate Thea for beating Jacy Jayne last week. Lexis King comes to mock everyone until Duke Hudson tells him to shut up because he wastes space.

Me hearing people talk about Drake vs. Kendrick, or Taylor Swift . . .

Grace rolls into an armbar, but Michin blocks it. Yim breaks it by slamming Arianna Grace. Yim hits a big boot in the face. She goes for a second one but Grace tries a pin attempt by grabbing the ropes. The ref catches her, and she's mad that she was caught. Yim hits a German Suplex and Seoul Food/Eat Defeat for the win.

Result - Mia Yim defeats Arianna Grace by pin.

Grace yells and points at Michin, but Michin grabs her hand and squeezes it. She stomps on Arianna's foot before hitting a dropkick and a boot. Grace plays possum by sending Yim into the middle ropes. She then hits a few moves, including a suplex and an elbow for two.

In the locker room, Chelsea Green and Arianna Grace are getting friendly with Gigi Dolin, trying not to throw up in the middle. They would make an interesting tag team match. Dolin says she's done after that love fest between Green and Grace. Up next is Arianna Grace vs. Michin.

Dempsey hits a German Suplex with a bridge, but Stacks severely delays the count by checking if the shoulders are down. Dempsey gets in his face and shoves Stacks. Stacks decks Dempsey, allowing Igwe to roll Dempsey up for the quick win.

Result - Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont defeat Charlie Dempsey and Myles Borne by pin.

Stacks doesn't let Dempsey come in right away because he doesn't hold the corner rope. Borne hits a picturesque dropkick to give his team the upper hand. Dempsey hits an uppercut before locking Dupont in an Octopus submission. Dupont breaks it with a back body drop. Igwe comes in off the tag to clean the house. Igwe hits a clothesline to drop both opponents. He hits a power slam on Dempsey for a near fall.

Up next are Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, taking on the NQCC's Charlie Dempsey and Myles Borne. There isn't a ref for the match because he or she is 'unavailable.' Apparently, Tony D worked some magic and had Channing Lorenzo installed as the ref. He fast-counts the NQCC right off the bat. Dupont hits a quick splash for a fast two-count.

The NXT Women's Combine 'took place' over the weekend. It had nine events testing speed, power, strength, and conditioning. they did a sled push and a 10-yd dash as well as an In-ring shuttle drill. Thea Hail and Kelani Jordan 'were the frontrunners' after the first tests.

Lol, Vice comes in to come in and mock Petrovic and Nattie. Baszler shakes her head before telling Vice 'let's go.' We then get a recap of Fallon Henley punching Thea Hail last week. Kelani Jordan is mad that Fallon didn't talk to her first. The women in the locker room have to pull them apart.
