The second round of the 2023 PGA Championship went through tricky conditions as the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester faced a bit of rainfall on Friday, May 19. The rainfall is expected on Saturday, May 20, for the third round as well.

Rochester will experience a downpour and thunderstorm on Saturday morning. By noon, precipitation will get lower as scattered showers are predicted.

Temperature is expected to be in the low 60s due to clouds.

The National Weather Service states that there is a 100 percent chance of rainfall before 3 pm EST, which can hamper the play at Oak Hill. The good news is, the possibility of downpours decreases as the day progresses.

There is a 49 percent chance of rain at 3 pm which will plunge to 34 percent at 4 pm. By 5 pm, the chances drop further with only a 24 percent chance of rain.

Earlier the second major of the season started with a two-hour delay due to the frost on the Oak Hill golf course. Also, the round was suspended early due to darkness. 33 players had to complete their first round on Friday ahead of round 2.

The third round of the 2023 PGA Championship will begin at 8:10 am EST with Mark Hubbard and Rikuya Hoshino teeing off from the first hole.

Scottie Scheffler, Corey Conners, and Viktor Hovland share the lead at 5-under after completing two rounds at Oak Hill Country Club.
