Brooks Koepka won the 2023 PGA Championship, making it the fifth major win of his career. He lifted the Wanamaker trophy for the third time and of course, celebrated by drinking beer out of it. The trophy is quite heavy and looks like it could hold almost 20 beers in it.

In a video posted on social media, Brooks said it was challenging to drink out of the trophy. After a little bit of coaxing, he did go ahead and take a sip, enjoying the occasion. As expected, the beer spilled out of the trophy, but everybody had a great time celebrating Koepka's much-deserved victory.

Brooks Koepka had a fantastic weekend at the PGA Championship, finishing with a -9 to take victory. After his 'choke up' at the 2023 Masters, the Championship was well deserved for the golfer.

Brooks Koepka now stands at No. 15 on the most majors won list, alongside Peter Thomson, Seve Ballesteros, and others. Koepka held his composure on the trying course. With unpredictable weather conditions making it hard for golfers to navigate the course his impeccable technique shone through.

This major win meant the most to Koepka as he struggled to put into words the happiness he felt. Speaking about his win, Koepka said:

“This is incredible, this is wild. When I look back at where we were two years ago I’m just so happy right now. I’m kind of at a loss for words. This is the coolest thing."

For Koepka it was a gratifying win too. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears had gone into this victory. He could not believe what he had achieved and felt proud to see his name amongst the greats of major winners:

“I don’t know how many guys have won five times but to be in with those names is incredible. I’m not sure as I kid I even dreamed about doing it."

Viktor Hovland was hot on Brooks Koepka's heels going into the final round. Ultimately, however, a few bad shots saw him take T2 alongside Scottie Scheffler. Hovland praised Koepka's skill and play, saying:

“Brooks is a great player and now he has five majors. I mean, that’s a hell of a record right there. It’s not easy going toe to toe with a guy like that. So I feel like I belong out here, I just have got to get a little bit better and hopefully it goes my way the next time.”
