Watch: Andrea Lee almost leaves Danielle Kang hanging at the Solheim Cup 2023

Andrea Lee had almost left her US Solheim Cup teammate, Danielle Kang, hanging for the fist pump during the first day of the event.

The 2023 Solheim Cup started on Friday, September 22, with the first round of foursomes at Finca Cortesín Golf Club in Casares, Malaga, Spain. Kang and Lee were paired together for the second foursome match of the morning.

While Kang is appearing at her third biennial event, this was Lee's first experience at the senior Solheim Cup. The effect was visible as the 25-year-old golfer looked puzzled when Kang approached her for the fist pump. At first, she declined and kept moving, but then she responded a second later.

However, this didn't affect the duo's chemistry on the golf course, as they were able to give the USA a 2-0 lead after beating opponents Celine Boutier and Georgia Hall 1-up.

Currently, the foursome round is over, and Team USA leads over Europe by 4-0. Below are the results of the foursome round.
