Wednesday’s 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am practice rounds will not be open for spectators. The event organisers have informed the round will remain closed to the public due to bad weather.

Taking to the event’s official X handle, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am officials updated that the Pebble Beach Golf Links gates will not open to the public “out of an abundance of caution.” The officials also informed that the fans, who purchased tickets for the round, can exchange it or get refunds from the event website.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am updated on X:

“Out of an abundance of caution, we will not be opening the course to the public for Wednesday’s practice rounds. The safety of our fans is our top priority, and tomorrow’s predicted weather conditions make it challenging to proceed.”

According to the event website, fans can exchange the round’s ticket for the opening round. The current ticket in the fan’s hand will be automatically transferred to Thursday, February 1. This will enable the ticket holder to watch the first round of the tournament with "no additional fees associated with the transfer.”

Alternatively, fans can also demand a full refund for the practice round tickets. The refund request can be made on the event’s website by Thursday, February 1, at 11:59 pm PST. Spectators can visit www.attpbgolf.com for details about the ticket exchange or refund.

2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am weather forecast

It is pertinent to note that the 2023 edition of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am wasn’t a pleasant outing. The Pebble Beach event was affected by harsh weather. Strong winds interrupted the game and the tournament was suspended mid-way. The event’s final round was postponed to Monday, instead of the usual Sunday.

According to reports, a similar weather condition is expected this week as well. Winds at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour are expected across the weekend. Meanwhile, the average temperature at the course would vary anywhere between 45 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. However, there are high chances of rainfall which could affect the PGA Tour's tournament schedule.

Listed below is the rain forecast for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, according to NBC Sports:

  • Thursday: 80% chance of rain
  • Friday: 70% chance of rain
  • Saturday: 15% chance of rain
  • Sunday: 80% chance of rain

Notably, the forecast suggests that the event could be suspended or postponed at any point due to bad weather. Severe winds or rainfall could even delay the event by a day or two, like last year. Players, both pros and amateurs, should be ready to play under some tough conditions this weekend.
