The 2023 LPGA Maybank Championship includes names like Nelly Korda, Megan Khang, Danielle Kang, Jenny Shin, and many more. This sums up the tournament's level of competition on players vying for the championship title.

There are also talented young athletes like Natasha Andrea Oon, Alyaa Abdulghany, and Ashley Lau, who are currently a part of the Epson Tour. This is a no-cut event, which means all players can compete throughout the tournament.

The return of an LPGA Tour to Malaysia is notable for the hosting nation as it motivates many other players to rise in the ranking to join Kelly Tan, the nation's representative on the LPGA Tour. The LPGA has always aimed to provide women equal opportunities, and this tournament marks a significant milestone in achieving this.

The Maybank Group President, Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli, expressed her excitement about nurturing women's golf and the association of Maybank in such a big milestone.

"Over the years, the Maybank Championship has successfully achieved its main intent of elevating Asian on a global stage in sports. Now, we see that the way forward is to champion inclusivity of the sport in the region," said Khairussaleh. (via LPGA Tour)
