Adrian Meronk was left out of Europe's Ryder Cup 2023 team that defeated USA in Rome. This victory thus holds special significance for Meronk and serves as a silent response to the disappointment of not making the Ryder Cup team.

“I’m just glad the Ryder Cup and all the talks about it are over. I can just focus on my game and keep going forward, and whoever doubted me, I hope I can prove them wrong," said Meronk (via Sky Sports).

Although the tournament posed some early challenges, Meronk finished with a 6-under 66 in the final round. This impressive performance, despite overcoming two early bogeys within the first three holes, propelled Meronk to an overall score of 16 under par for the tournament.

His remarkable consistency paid off, earning him a one-stroke lead over the runner-up, Matti Schmid, who finished the final round with a score of 71. The defining moments of Meronk's victory came during the front nine.

He responded to his slow start with a display of incredible talent, making two eagles, one of which was a jaw-dropping hole-out from 121 yards on the par-4 ninth hole.

As the back nine unfolded, Meronk secured four birdies, including one on the par-3 17th. This birdie allowed him to seize the lead and solidify his position as the champion of the Andalucia Masters 2023.
