It seems like yesterday that Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 kicked off with a literal bang, but as the saying goes, all good things must end. Update v23.50 is the last major update of the season. It will go live today (February 28) and add end-of-season content.

Unlike all major updates, this one will occur sooner than usual. Rather than the normal time of 4:00 am Eastern Time, the update v23.50 will start at 3:00 am ET. This means that servers will be taken offline by 2:30 at the latest. Those still in-game at 2:00 am should consider logging off to save progress.

Considering that the update v23.50 will kick off an hour earlier than usual, this indicates that Epic Games has a lot of work to do. With end-of-season content being brought in to spruce up gameplay, the update could take four or more hours.

This timeline can change depending on the complexities encountered during the update. This considers the downtime for update 23.40, which officially lasted five hours (based on the time the blog post was shared on Twitter).

Fixes and content changes for Fortnite update v23.50

There's a strong possibility that the Creed III collaboration will be leaked/showcased during this update. Since the film releases in theaters on March 3, 2023, Epic Games will want to push the cosmetic items in-game before the film's debut.

Aside from this collaboration, the Fortnite Crew Pack for March 2023 will also be showcased during the downtime. Although the skin has already been shown in the trailer, a decrypted version of the cosmetic item is yet to be showcased. This is a gentle reminder that for those who want to obtain The Masterwork Pickaxe, this is their last chance.

Continuing with the cosmetics, the in-game items on page-2 of "The Witcher" will also be released once the update v23.50 goes live. Decrypted versions of the cosmetics should be revealed during the downtime. Players can also expect an early Item Shop rotation following the update.

Moving on from cosmetics, Bows and Motorboats will get unvaulted after downtime. While the latter is not used much in-game, the former will pair well with players who enjoy precision shooting. However, with Heavy Sniper now in-game, it's left to be seen if players use Bows.

Speaking of utility, more Reality Augments will be introduced to the game during this update. With this new system being well received and fully fleshed out, the community always looks forward to seeing what Epic Games has planned next.

Last but not least, since this is the last update for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, a few bugs will likely be quashed as well. While most are related to cosmetic glitches, one, in particular, focuses on fixing Peely's Plunder Reality Augment. The last thing players want to see is buried treasures in inaccessible places on the map.

For those wondering about Hurdling, Epic Games is still investigating the issue. The mechanic will likely only return sometime in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. For now, that's all the significant content changes players can expect in the update v23.50.
