Seria A side Fiorentina are looking at Manchester United’s captain Nemanja Vidic, reported by footballitalia.

Manager Vincenzo Montella has apparently made him his number one target to add experience to his defensive line in their push for a Champions League spot.

The defender’s agent recently revealed that the Serbian International is unlikely to sign a new deal with the current league champions, with his current contract set to expire in the summer.

Vidic is now facing his three-match ban after he was sent off after a foul on Eden Hazard in United’s 3-1 defeat on Sunday.

He had signed for Manchester United from Spartak Moscow for a fee of around £7 million on 25 December 2005.
