Jude Bellingham showed his love for Real Madrid teammate Lucas Vazquez by posting a foul-mouthed tweet on his X account (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (April 21).

The England international and his team managed to beat Barcelona 3-2 in a thrilling El Clasico on Sunday. Although Bellingham grabbed his team a late winner in the 91st minute, Los Blancos have the former Spain international to thank for his important contributions.

Vazquez first won his team a penalty in the 18th minute, which Vinicius Junior put away to level the proceedings at 1-1. With his team trailing 2-1 in the second half, the right-back scored an equalizer in the 73rd minute.

Lavishing praise on his teammate, Bellingham, who has shared the field 19 times with the Spanish defender for Los Blancos, managing one joint goal contribution, wrote on X:

"Lucas Vazquez you fu**ing legend."

Vazquez has largely played a squad role for Real Madrid this season, starting just 12 of his 25 league appearances. Overall, he's played 32 matches across competitions in the 2023/24 campaign, bagging two goals and six assists.

The player's latest contributions have helped the Spanish giants cement their position at the top of the standings. Real Madrid are first and 11 points clear of second-placed Barcelona.

Next is a trip to Real Sociedad for a La Liga match on Friday (April 26), after which the first-leg Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich is scheduled on April 30.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti lavishes praise on Lucas Vazquez's performance v Barcelona

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was impressed by Lucas Vazquez's performance against Barcelona on Sunday. Although the defender has played second-fiddle to Dani Carvajal, he's still seen as an important component.

With games coming thick and fast towards the end of the season, the 32-year-old could still have a crucial role to play.

Speaking after Vazquez's latest display, Ancelotti said (via Managing Madrid):

"Obviously, he is a very important player, not only for what he did today but for the entire season. He competes with Carvajal, who I think is one of the best full-backs in the world, and has made the difference today as in many other games."

With Carvajal suffering from cramps in Real Madrid's Champions League quarter-final win against Manchester City on Wednesday (April 17), Vazquez may be needed further in the competition.

Even if he does not get a start in the tournament's semi-final, it is likely that he will be needed to come off the bench and do a job.
