YouTube streamer Darren "IShowSpeed" has given his take on the ongoing reports suggesting that TikTok might be banned in America. For those unaware, the US Senate passed a bill that essentially forces TikTok's parent company ByteDance to sell the social media platform or see it get banned in the country.

Darren, who has nearly 25 million followers on the platform, has finally reacted to the news. However, true to his style, Darren injected a dose of humor into the situation. The streamer jokingly claimed he was in talks with US President Joe Biden to sort things out. He said:

"Me and Joe Biden are already talking."

YouTube streamer IShowSpeed delivered another one of his comic dialogues. News of a potential TikTok ban reached his Discord channel. Reacting to the looming possibility, the streamer quipped that he is currently in talks with the US President:

"Yo chat, I've been talking to Joe Biden, y'all. Don't worry y'all if it does get banned. Me and Joe Biden are already talking. We already talking about a deal that we can do - between me and Joe Biden."

For those unaware, the primary reason behind the stern decision has been down to allegations that the Chinese government has access to data of the 100+ million TikTok users in America. Darren however appears to have mixed the countries.

The streamer comically stated that the social media platform is actually owned by a "Korean" company, instead of Chinese. He said:

"They are only about to ban it because TikTok is owned by a Korean organization and America and Korea are not cool, so they have our information. You know, it's not an American TikTok organization. TikTok is owned by Koreans and they have our information when we log in and stuff, so Joe Biden wants to ban it."

IShowSpeed's statements suggest he may not fully understand the situation at hand. Another streamer, xQc, has been vocal with critical comments regarding the decision to ban TikTok. On his stream, xQc claimed that many American companies do worse with "data." He said:

"American companies do worse with data and have been proven to do worse with company and with user data than with f**king other countries."

For now, the decision rests with ByteDance to either sell the company or agree to cease operations in the United States.
