Can you change armor color in Helldivers 2?

Players have been wondering whether they can alter armor color in Helldivers 2 since the release of the game on February 8, 2024. This co-op horde shooter allows gamers to take up the mantle of Helldivers donning different gear and act as peacekeepers in a Galactic War to protect their planet and repel aliens with lethal force.

The gear pieces of a Helldiver outfit, like the helmet, armor, and cape, come in set colors that cannot be altered. Players can switch their gear pieces and weapons in Helldivers 2, but personalizing one's armor color is not possible in this game.

You can only change armor color in Helldivers 2 by swapping the gear piece as a whole. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Access the Armory table, and locate the tabs called Weaponry, Armory, Character, Booster, and Career.
2. Go to the Armory tab and select the piece of gear that you want to swap out in Helldivers 2.
3. You will find different gear pieces with different color schemes and attributes. Equip the ones that suit your color palette preferences.
4. Finally, hit the Equip button below to save the changes to your Helldiver armor, helmet, and cape.

While you cannot change the armor color in Helldivers 2, you can customize other aspects of your Helldiver, like body type, voice pack, emote, victory pose, player card, and title.
