IPL 2024 Orange Cap & Purple Cap standings after MI vs LSG match (Updated)

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Friday, May 17, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. MI won the toss and elected to bowl.

LSG didn't have a decent start as Devdutt Padikkal departed for a duck. KL Rahul (55) and Nicholas Pooran scored a half-century each. Pooran was the highest-scorer with 75 runs off just 29 deliveries.

LSG posted a total of 214 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Nuwan Thushara and Piyush Chawla took three wickets each for MI.

Rohit Sharma opened the innings for MI with Dewald Brevis and added 33 runs before the match got interrupted due to rain. The match resumed after a short delay and MI lost three quick wickets. Rohit scored 68 runs off 38 deliveries before getting dismissed.

The match went to the last over where MI required 34 runs to win. Naman Dhir finished with 62 runs off 28 deliveries and remained unbeaten. MI scored 196 runs for the loss of six wickets and suffered a loss in their last game of the season. Ravi Bishoi and Naveen-ul-Haq took two wickets each for LSG.
