A released AEW star has finally made his return to Tony Khan's promotion. His comeback took place during recent All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor tapings.

The talent in question is Anthony Henry. The 40-year-old star was released from the Jacksonville-based promotion last month after suffering a broken jaw in March. However, AEW President Tony Khan revealed during the media call for ROH Supercard of Honor 2024 that Henry would be brought back once he had recovered from his injury.

After teasing his comeback for weeks on social media, the Workhorseman has finally returned to the squared circle. All Elite Wrestling filmed content for several shows, including Collision, and Rampage, as well as content for its sister promotion ROH, at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on May 16, 2024.

During the Ring of Honor TV taping, Anthony Henry reunited with JD Drake to make his in-ring return. The Workhorsemen defeated the team of Angelico and Serpentico.

Anthony Henry wants to face Bryan Danielson in AEW

Anthony Henry has been with All Elite Wrestling since 2021, having debuted against former Continental Champion Eddie Kingston on the promotion's old YouTube show Dark. Since then, the Georgia native has competed against several top names in the Tony Khan-led company, including Penta El Zero Miedo, Sting, Darby Allin, and FTR to name a few.

Henry recently stepped back into active competition. Days before his return, the former Evolve Tag Team Champion shared a list of goals he wished to fulfill after coming back. These included a one-on-one bout with former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson, as well as winning the ROH and AEW World Tag Team Titles, having noteworthy matches, and enjoying himself along the way.

"With the return being imminent, I have some things I need to do: -Wrestle @bryandanielson 1 on 1 -Win the ROH Tag titles -Win AEW tag title -Go on an absolute tear, having 🔥 matches and lots of fun," Henry wrote on X.

It remains to be seen whether Anthony Henry will take on Bryan Danielson in the near future. The American Dragon is set to team with FTR and Darby Allin to take on The Elite in an Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2024.
