6ft 2in AEW star warns Blackpool Combat Club ahead of major match against Jon Moxley

A 6 foot 2 inches AEW star has recently sent a bold message to Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose, after his backstage promo on the latest episode of Collision as he spoke about him making his actions speak for themselves. The top star in question would be Konosuke Takeshita.

At the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 Pay-Per-View, The Alpha will challenge Moxley in an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator Match. This will require him to pin the champion to earn a future title opportunity. This would be a unique way for him to prove to be worthy of the title, as he would need to be the champion himself first.

On the latest episode of AEW Collision, Jon Moxley had a few words to say before their encounter, as he claimed that everyone else was chasing after fame, glamour, and money, while he and the Blackpool Combat Club were only after the action, the blood, and the fight. Konosuke Takeshita responded by saying that it was now his time to shine and that he would destroy all that the Blackpool Combat Club loved so much.

"To BCC, the times are already starting to turn in my favor. You must be aware that the time is right around the corner. I will destroy the 'fight' that you all love so much. The winner is the strong one. Strength is justice," Konosuke Takeshita shared.

AEW star Konosuke Takeshita opened up about misconceptions he had about wrestling in the United States of America

While being recently interviewed by DDT Pro-Wrestling, AEW star Konosuke Takeshita opened up on how he felt having been wrestling in the United States of America for some time now and some things that he realized.

The 28-year-old star revealed that before he thought all he needed was hard work so he could have more airtime, but this was not the case, and that there were other factors at play. He mentioned that this discouraged him from having fun as he felt that no matter how well he did, at some point, it still was not enough to put him in the spotlight.

“I thought hard work could cover for everything else before getting there. If I showed how good I am I could get more airtime, but there are other aspects that come to play when competing here (in the United States of America). Discrimination is not the word here but unfortunately there’s a lack of space for an Asian person to be on a TV show watched by Americans. No matter how good my condition was nor the amount of matches I was put it, or how many times they said my match was good, it felt like I couldn’t make it in the starting lineup, to put it in Baseball terms," Konosuke Takeshita said.

He went on:

“Everyone felt like they’re having fun wrestling here. I didn’t have any fun wrestling ever since I got to America. The effort was bearing fruit, but I didn’t feel the enjoyment. It was the most mentally exhausting period in all 12 years of my wrestling career. However, when I stopped having fun, my matches were better received and I gained more recognition. After his incredible display against Will Ospreay, Takeshita will once more take the spotlight this time around against Jon Moxley at the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 Pay-Per-View.
